Passenger Areested for causing Rollover on RT 33 10/14/2026

- Belfast Patrol Unit is investigating an incident involving an overturned truck on State Route 33.

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at approximately 11:50 am, Troopers responded to State Route 33 Southbound, Mile Marker 2.1, Bethlehem Township, Northampton County for the report of a single vehicle roll over crash. Upon investigation, it was determined a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by a female driver and a 62-Year-Old Male, from Stroudsburg, PA, who was a passenger, engaged in a verbal argument. During the argument, the 62-Year-Old male grabbed the steering wheel, causing the truck to lose control, strike the guiderail and overturn.

The female driver was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.

The 62-Year-Old male was taken into custody, at the scene, by Troopers and criminal charged with the following:

• Recklessly Endangering Another Person - Misdemeanor 2

• Criminal Mischief - Misdemeanor 2

• Disorderly Conduct - Misdemeanor 3

There were no other injuries reported.

Palmer Township 2nd Alarm Restaurant Fire 10/12/2026

Palmer Township, Pa: 2nd Alarm structure fire at the Williams Restaurant located at 3630 William Penn Highway. The fire was dispatched just after 10:30 pm on Sunday night for a fire on the roof of the restaurant. Arriving Palmer Township Police Officers confirmed a working kitchen fire extending up the exhaust pipe to the roof. The fire appeared to be held to the kitchen and exhaust system, but smoke was seen throughout the entire building. No injuries were reported. Photo Gallery

Stroudsburg Multi Family Dwelling Fire 10/04/2026

Stroudsburg, PA: The Stroudsburg Fire Department responded to a multi-family dwelling fire on Thomas Street this morning around 5:30 am. Firefighters encountered heavy fire with extension to the second floor. No injuries were reported, but multiple residents are now displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
